JONAH’S PRAYER IN THE BELLY OF FISH– JONAH 2: 1 – 10
JONAH’S PRAYER IN THE BELLY OF FISH– JONAH 2: 1 – 10
Then Jonah made prayer to the Lord his God from the inside of the fish, and said, (v.1 BBE)
The story of Jonah that was thrown into the sea may not be new to you; but the lesson of praying to GOD no matter the condition, wherever the position and in whatever the situation should be taken well. My prayer is that whenever you lift up your voice to the LORD, may the heaven open His arms to your requests and pour you great results, in Jesus name. Amen!
The belly of the fish could not stop Jonah from crying to the LORD his GOD. But in the ship, he was sleeping even when they were troubled. When the reality of his offence dawned on him, he said - In my trouble I was crying to the Lord, and he gave me an answer; out of the deepest underworld I sent up a cry, and you gave ear to my voice.- Should we say that Jonah had only this choice left for him? Or we would say he had no one else to confer with? Do you not see that prayer is indeed a communication with the LORD of the whole Heaven and Earth? Now, Jesus Christ makes this easy as He gives His Spirit to help us and He gives His name for our use. Anything you ask the GOD in Jesus’ name has a promise for answer. Only pray rightly and not for lustful desires. Do you believe GOD for answers to your requests? Send your cries to HIM now by faith in Jesus Christ.
When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. (KJV)
I know this is the season to pray and not to faint. It is a time to be encouraged in the LORD and not be discouraged. It is the period to praise GOD more and reduce to nothing everything that will not be and live in the fear of GOD. Let your offering be the praise and thanksgiving from your mouth to GOD. We shall overcome! Realize who and where you are; be bold to go to GOD in prayers.
Please sing along – “What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear. What a privilege to carry everything to GOD in prayer. Oh what peace we often forfeit, Oh what needless pain we bear. All because we do not carry Everything to GOD in prayer.” - It is time to pray again and I know you will not be denied a favorable answer in Jesus Christ name. Amen!
