WHO ARE THE ADVERSARIES OF THE LORD? NAHUM 1:1-8
God is jealous, and the LORD avenges; The LORD avenges and is furious. The LORD will take vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies; (v.2 NKJV)
By the power of GOD, day and night stands; and by the power of GOD HIS plans for you will stand. There might have been several stops to the flow of good things on your way; there might have been several turnings in your journey to greatness; and there might have been series of attacks on you and all that concern you, by the power of GOD you shall make it in GOD’S will. The LORD will strike your adversaries in HIS power in Jesus name.
Who is the adversary of the LORD? This is the one who opposes GOD in every way; he challenges and attacks with the aim of destroying the LORD’S work. He has raised several armies to his side; and he works through them to achieve his demonic goals. Do not ask why the great GOD permits him (them); just know that GOD waits in patience to avenge. GOD is the LORD; nothing competes with HIM in greatness. May be the enemies of the LORD knows that HE is slow to anger, they then are quick to carry out their wicked works and run free to achieve their aims and satisfy their wicked souls. They did not know that the slowness of GOD to anger is HIS way of giving opportunity for repentance. When the enemy of the LORD fails to catch in on the repentance factor, destruction becomes inevitable (unavoidable).
Do not become one of the LORD’S enemies too; do not join the evil doers to do evil. Do not plot evil against anyone. Do not withhold anyone’s dues or gifts. Do not cheat anyone of his/her reward of labour or marks. Do not join anyone to plot evil against a person that is born of GOD by faith in Jesus Christ, HIS SON. Do not stand against the word and principles of GOD. Hear HIM; honour HIS instructions that HIS beloved Son, Jesus Christ must be obeyed. Jesus’ message must be received and carried out. The enemy of Jesus Christ is an adversary (enemy) of GOD.
As a child of GOD who lives by the faith in Jesus Christ, your adversary is GOD’S enemy too. By the power of GOD, declare the full end to all of the enemy’s works and plans. Take authority in Christ and free the sick and the oppressed around you today.
