OUR SPECIAL REQUESTS THIS TIME - MARK 10:32 - 45
And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came forward to him, and said to him, "Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you." (v.35 RSV)
I trust you are graciously enjoying the loving-kindness of Jehovah GOD to you and to all yours now and always. Express your appreciation to HIM in praises and dutiful service. By GOD’S grace in Christ Jesus, your righteous service shall be fruitful; may you be filled with joy and gladness. May GOD be pleased to reveal HIMSELF to you in marvelous ways; may you break forth with outstanding breakthroughs to GOD’S glory. Amen!
I do not know what your experience of walking with the LORD and HIS Christ have being, but I am bold to let you know that you need not be afraid; He will continue to be with you as you faithfully and steadfastly stick to Him. May you be blessed indeed. Amen!
Many times the Lord would be interested in revealing things about Himself, His Kingdom and of the will of the Father, GOD; but we would rather be interested about the things we wanted done for us; we hardly try to check if any (or all) of those things are in the will of GOD for us in this life. May GOD’S will be done in us. Amen
The request by the sons of Zebedee was very fine and sounded harmless and may be very spiritual, but the Lord who knows the heart of all flesh knew the motive behind the request;- And Jesus called them to him and said to them, "You know that those who are supposed to rule over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them.- this call to question the motive behind several prayer requests we make; they may sound very beautiful to the ears and may look good for quick response; but how humble are we before GOD so that HE might use us in every way to bring down the pride of the enemy and win many to HIS side. Several prayer requests are being fired this time, but let everything be done in humility and with a readiness to serve the LORD with everything HE will bless us with. The people around us must enjoy GOD in and through us. The name of GOD must be gloriously spoken of because of the way we represent HIM by faith in Jesus Christ. It is well with you!
