WHAT WILL YOU DO THIS TIME?- MATTHEW 26:1 – 13
But Jesus, aware of this, said to them, "Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a beautiful thing to me. (v.10 RSV)
Another season to remind us of the price paid for our redemption by the Lord, Jesus Christ is here; I pray that the Lord’s labour for the salvation of our souls shall not be in vain. It is well with you!
Many times, wicked plots were desired against our lives; and for all that are witnessing the breaking of a new day, we have every reason to thank GOD ALMIGHTY for the victory through Christ. The enemy moved the people to plot the death of the Lord, and they sought for an appropriate occasion to do it. Jesus knew all of this and He was preparing Himself for it. He visited a friend, Simon the leper at that time and a wonderful woman paid him a visit too - a woman came up to him with an alabaster flask of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head, as he sat at table. - The woman did not just visit, but she baptized the Lord with an expensive perfume. This could not be easily understood by those around; they mocked the woman; they felt she should have sold the oil and use the money on the poor. What do you feel too? What would you say? How are you appreciating Christ’s effort over your life and for your soul?
This is an appropriate time for you to acknowledge that GOD wins and reigns in and over you through Jesus Christ. This is the right time for you to pour your heart in love to see that someone is saved from the hand of the wicked one. This is the set time to support the course of Jesus’ victory over Satan, sin and all evils.
This woman was not ashamed to do what she did; she did not mind the cost of the oil; she, through the love of GOD in her heart was ready to be associated with the Christ in every way. Do you feel people are mocking your relationship with Christ? Never mind, keep on doing that which is right for His name sake. Your efforts shall surely be rewarded at the appropriate time. So, what is your decision this time, will you permit the season to pass by without you admitting that Jesus Christ death was for you to gain eternal life and be free from the bondage of sin?
Pray that the door of salvation through Christ will be opened to many people this time. May the power of GOD work in you.
