GOD WILL MAKE YOU GREAT – 2 CHRONICLES 27:1- 9
So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God. (v.6 LB)
The great GOD of the universe is loving and caring; HE is working on making someone great that HIS glory may spread to all through that individual. I pray the LORD finds you faithful to bestow HIS great power on. May you discover the secret to the greatness the great GOD has in plan for you in Jesus name.
Jotham was one of the great, good and GOD-fearing kings that reigned in the land of Judah before they were exiled. Before him were kings that did evil before the LORD and they made others sinned against GOD. He had a father (Uzziah) who lived his life in the fear of GOD until he was brought down by pride and GOD struck him with leprosy unto the day of his death. Thanks to GOD that Jotham did lift his heart up in pride like his father did.
And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Uzziah did: although he entered not into the temple of the LORD. But the people acted yet corruptly. – do observe that the corrupt nature of his people did not influence him to corruption, according to this Scripture.
Beloved, GOD wants to make something good, big and great in and through us; we must not be ignorant of every evil deed to make us lose out of GOD’S good plan. Do not allow pride, good achievement, or the corrupt tendencies in others to negatively influence you against the fear of GOD in all your affairs. The secrets to being made great by GOD are hidden in our daily living to please HIM in all that concern us. There is no one greater and better GOD in planning and in executing plans. Corrupt people will only be manipulative, but GOD will block their ways and make HIS face shine on the righteous. Be GOD’S choice of a righteous personality in this perverse generation.
I trust GOD will work a transformational event for your good this time. A particular year in Jotham’s reign brought him greatness, because the LORD was with him. This time may be the season you have been begging GOD to have, let your ways please HIM.
