JUST OBEY GOD’S INSTRUCTION- 2 KINGS 5:9 - 19
And Elisha sent a servant to him, saying, Go to Jordan, and after washing seven times in its waters your flesh will be well again and you will be clean. (v.10 BBE)
Beloved of GOD, trust and obey, for there is no other way to having true peace, prosperity and joy in this life without one obeying the instruction of GOD that we should believe in Jesus Christ, HIS Son, and to obey His word or command. Halleluiah!
Commander Naaman had an expectation – to meet with a healer who would make him go through some rituals and then cure him of his leprosy. But his expectation was dashed with a simple command to dip himself for sometimes in a particular river. Naaman’s was used to the rituals and practices of the priests of the gods at Syria; but none of these had helped him. Probably he was also expecting that he would be accorded some respect as an army general; but he was disappointed that the healing man did not even come out to welcome his entourage. Are you in anyway like Naaman? Will you take some time to reflect on your attitude towards the word of GOD and the simple instructions you might have received from the people of GOD with you? Today, you may need to help someone close to you, who indeed needs the help of GOD this time for a great change for the better in his/her condition. Everyone needs thorough washing in the water of the Word of GOD. Life is good only in Jesus Christ!
GOD wants to make HIMSELF known to you in a better way this season. Leave behind the old experience(s), you must enjoy something new in the power of Christ’s resurrection and in the word of GOD. This word must work wonders for you henceforth.
Beware of those who sell the free gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ; beware of those who are not leading you to the true GOD of the Church of Jesus Christ. Get a good Bible and dip yourself in it thoroughly as many times as you can; I trust that my GOD will renew your strength, heal you of every sickness or disease, and give you HIS Holy Spirit to be with you unto eternity.
Dear Lord, take away everything that defiles me, undo all that the enemy had done in my life and affairs and make me fresh and beautiful, reflecting your glory through Christ.
