LORD, HAVE MERCY!  - 1 SAMUEL 28:15 - 25

LORD, HAVE MERCY!  - 1 SAMUEL 28:15 - 25
Moreover, the Lord will also give Israel with you into the hands of the Philistines, and tomorrow you and your sons shall be with me [among the dead]. The Lord also will give the army of Israel into the hands of the Philistines. (v.19 AMP)
Dear LORD, have mercy on us; help us with the strength, courage, wisdom and power to love you and do your will with all our heart. Let us not fail you again; and let the devil become the loser as it pertains to us and all with us. Thank you GOD, in Jesus name.
King Saul, son of Kish, of the tribe of Benjamin had been making several errors in his reign as king over the kingdom of Israel. Maybe because the people respected constituted authority, that is why they could go on and fall into the serious error with their king; they forgot the only true GOD and refused to obey his commands. King Saul made the last error of consulting a medium in other to speak to the dead, Prophet Samuel. When an error or sin or its habit is not correctly dealt with, it will breed more errors or sins; and when the opportunities for corrections or repentance are exhausted, destruction is inevitable. This is exactly what happened to king Saul.
Beloved of the LORD, now is the right time to make amends; do not permit sin or its nature to multiply itself in you. Do not call any misbehavior small thing. Do not say it does not matter when indeed you ought to have made serious effort towards true correction. Please, help your wards; be an instrument of correction for your peers and colleagues. Let the corruption that go on in your office not pass beyond your desk or table. Never give your support to any form of immorality. Move close to your GOD; do not turn away from HIM when errors are made; seek HIS mercy; seek HIS face.
King Saul got what he wanted, but it was never pleasant news. He would be destroyed; him, his children and a lot of others in the city would die ingloriously because they did not obey the commands of GOD. King Saul had led several others into destruction that was avoidable. Ah, that error, that sin is avoidable, and so is the destruction to follow avoidable. Jesus Christ came that the works of sin in your life might be destroyed. Avoid destruction in hell. Preach this well. Do help a lot of other people to know and be saved.
Dear LORD, have mercy. Jesus Christ have mercy on us all!
