THE NEW YOU MUST DO THESE - COLOSSIANS 3:1 - 11
If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God (v.1 KJ2000)
Every opportunity to witness a new day must be used first to worship and honor GOD and HIS Christ who has blessed with the Grace. May the power of praise of GOD increase in you. May this power bring salvation to many and help to others in Jesus name.
The message of the cross should no longer be new to you; and the need to hold on to it and be continually under its cover cannot be overemphasized. Just check and know that you are covered by the grace and the power of salvation in Jesus Christ.
As a new being in Christ’s power of resurrection, the temptation to sin will always be around, but the power to stand upright is much more available too. This fact must be recognized and everything needed to remain victorious must be done. This makes this passage of the Scriptures under study to be followed.
As a new creature by the grace of salvation in Christ Jesus, one must make his/her thoughts holy and righteous always. One must be conscious of the trip to the Kingdom of GOD and must not lose focus of it. No longer shall one’s affection be on ephemeral things, and old associations/link to this must be cutoff.
Just like one’s dressing at times can be a reflection of one’s character, so will sin or its nature reflect one in a bad light when it is not put off or mortified. And as people who associate with one feel bad about a dirty or irritable garment one puts on so does GOD our Father hates every sinful nature or habits on all who lays claim to the grace of salvation in Christ. The LORD knows it is possible for you to put off and destroy every nature of the ‘old man’ (that is ruled by the flesh) by the power in the blood of Jesus Christ and the renewing of the mind by the knowledge of the Truth - And have put on the new man, that is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: - so, do it!
Really, are you a new person in Christ or are you pretending?
Pray that GOD and HIS Christ reflect truly in all that you do. Pray that someone will find the help of salvation of Christ this time. Pray GOD’S abiding presence for the messengers of the Gospel of peace and salvation. You shall be helped!
