WHAT CAN LURE YOUR HEART AWAY? GALATIANS 1:1-13
I am surprised that you are being so quickly turned away from him whose word came to you in the grace of Christ, to good news of a different sort (v.6 BBE)
This day, the sun over you will not fail to shine for your good and neither will you lose any blessing of the nature in Jesus name.
In this part of the world, when you wake up in the morning and you put on your radio set, you should not be surprised to hear several religious messages, from different groups being preached so as to usher you into the new day with soul lifting messages. As events would turn out in the day and you are still opportune to listen to the radio, and perhaps during lunch time, you should not be surprised to hear other messages that may not be of much benefit to what you may be passing through at that time. And in the night time, the different radio stations will be glad to blow different musicals to the pleasure (or displeasure) of the listeners. Well choices are there for you to make from the different radio programmes. Same applies to the other media on the information to be received from messages being broadcast.
Apostle Paul was surprised that the people he had delivered a divine message to, and who gladly received and practiced it, have suddenly fallen out of the way of the true Gospel he had preached to them because of the messages some dangerous ministers had brought to them. How easily could these people have fallen away from the truth? The content, the means of communication, the spirit or force behind the message and the state of the heart (or motive) of the listeners all play their roles.
What can lure your heart away from the truth of the Gospel message? You need to be watchful, careful and prayerful. Do not neglect disciplining your eyes, ears and heart to receiving the truth (and nothing but the truth) always, Do not also fail to communicate the truth to others with/around you. This may be one of the ways to stay and keep the Gospel of Christ in the heart. Apply the word of GOD to every situation and let the Holy Spirit of GOD fill your heart and mind. By the grace of GOD in Christ, may your heart be fixed on the truth and may you reap great benefits and flow in the abundance of GOD.
