GOD’S CORRECTION IS WORTH IT – JOB 5:16 - 27
Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects: therefore despise not the chastening of the Almighty: (v.17 KJ2000)
To GOD be the glory, great things HE hath done. So loved HE the world that HE gave us HIS Son, who yielded His life an atonement for sin. And opened the life gate that all may go in.
Praise the LORD! Let the Earth hear His voice. Praise the LORD let the people rejoice. Oh come to the Father through Jesus the Son, and give HIM the glory great things HE hath done!
No one that is being chastised finds it convenient; but everyone who aims to be better will love to be corrected and disciplined when the need arises. And as every loving parent disciplines his/her ward in loving manner (unto correction), so does GOD discipline everyone HE loves. The end of GOD’S correction always brings about a better personality and an enviable character.
Though, the travail of Job was not about GOD”S chastising him, yet Eliphaz’s statements about GOD’S is true. And in whichever area the LORD is correcting and working on you, do learn well and aim to be better. You must come out better in Jesus name.
Please note that sufferings (in any form) may not necessarily translate to GOD’S chastisement; our errors, our misbehaviours, our careless living and useless utterances can bring about sufferings; and the devil can afflict with sufferings too. But get to understand the love of GOD for you and envelope yourself in it.
GOD is ever good; and after all HE makes you go through in the form of discipline, HE shall afterward bind you up, cure you and give you a security that cannot be challenged by any other forces. In famine he shall redeem you from death: and in war from the power of the sword. You will be protected from the lash of the tongue, and need not fear when destruction comes. You will laugh at destruction and famine, and need not fear the beasts of the earth. You will know that your tent is secure; you will take stock of your property and find nothing missing. Thank GOD for who HE is and for HIS love for you. Pray that you will not take the grace of salvation in Christ in vain. Pray for divine intervention in the cases of all that are being tortured by the forces of the enemy. There shall be rejoicing at last.
